emBodied Yoga Practice for Digestion

Gentle practice to improve stimulate and digestion.

Session length: 15 - 45 minutes

Props needed: A rolled mat or large towel

This practice can be as short as 15 minutes or as long as 30 or 45 minutes. You choose how long you stay in each shape.

Here are images of the shapes in suggested order. Feel free to mix it up. Suggested time in each shape can be modified to fit the needs of your body.

Rest, with rolled mat under upper thighs or knees.

Wind-relieving (1 minute on each leg)

Wind-relieving (1 minute)

Reclined Butterfly (several rounds of breath)

Belly Massage - Inhale, extend arms; Exhale, bend arms (5 - 10x)

Supported Legs Up (1 - 5 minutes)

Reclined Leg Stretches (3 - 5x each side)

Prone with rolled mat under belly (2 - 5 minutes)

Draw knee up, rest on arm (both sides; 2 - 5 minutes each)

Supported Wheel of Life (2 - 5 minutes each side)

Prone with rolled mat along mid-line (2 - 5 minutes)
